Statistical Study Shows Numbers Rising
Online casino gambling is becoming more and more popular in the UK – though a
general note, the recent statistical studies released report and increase in the
number of unique players betting and gambling. And though that’s just the
straight remote Web site betting, it doesn’t include the number of players who
are now beginning to participate in mobile online casinos gambling – that sector
of the industry is on the rise as well.
The UK Gambling Commission released the results of the study that compare June
of 2006 versus the increases found just one year later. It seems that online
casino and all gambling activities and sectors of the industry are unilaterally
increasing the number of players betting and gambling.
Perhaps the smallest percentage increase in registered and gambling players was
found in the digital television gambling sector. Increasing only a tenth of a
percent, from 1.7 percent to 1.8. The whopping increase was a 5.2 percent
increase in the number of adults who participated in remote gambling (via online
casinos, mobile gambling, etc.). . Another little tidbit from the Gambling
Commission’s findings, the heaviest gamblers are also coincidently in the
coveted advertising age range, 18 – 34.
Not surprisingly though is the fact that the lottery is still the most popular
form of gambling in the UK. Most countries and states report that lottery
gambling is consistently popular and rarely fluctuates downward. The online
casino industry is also on the rise, but is not anticipated to out perform the
lottery any time soon.
